Identity
Package
The
challenge:
To develop a comprehensive identify system for materials in print
and electronic form for a land developer.
The
solution:
Mann Properties is a family owned developer who was seeking
assistance with their corporate identity package. Several designers
had attempted to find the "look" that captured the essence
of the company, to no avail. Then they called us. We developed a
comprehensive marketing plan, addressing how the various components
of the identify package would help to establish the brand of the
company and create name awareness among the diverse target audiences
which included commercial tenants, businesses, custom home builders
and homeowners.
We started with
suggestions for ways to refine an existing logo. We then developed
a tagline and developed ways to tie all of the various printed pieces
together for a look that was cohesive and consistent.
One of the major
challenges was developing a color scheme that would translate between
outdoor signage, printed literature and electronic media. Inks needed
to be custom mixed in order to match that large number of signs
on-location at the properties.
From business cards to folders, we developed the main collateral
items, including an overall corporate piece, which highlighted the
various divisions of the company. Then, we designed an extensive
web site that not only promoted the many services and features of
the developer, but that also listed properties available for lease.
The result was
a coordinated visual identity that was consistent between all aspects
of communication, from signage to web site, that captured the essence
of the company, pleased the principals and made a dramatic impact
on the developer's name-recognition in the area.
